The crypto sector will likely see the path of legalization in Louisiana State that is a good news for the whole industry.
Unanimous endorsement of the legal framework for crypto. The draft law on crypto-licensing was unanimously accepted in Louisiana House of Representatives last week. It looks like a positive sign for potential crypto service suppliers but now the law should pass through the State’s Senate, and then be accepted by the Trade Committee, the Consumer Protection Committee and, the International Affairs Council unless it is finally adopted.
Still the new draft law looks like a breath of fresh air for the America’s digital assets’ suppliers that previously had to work only in crypto friendly jurisdictions like Malta and Switzerland.
This was due to the strict and complicated common regulatory framework launched in the USA for fighting illegal use of crypto currencies for the purposes of money laundering, smuggling deals and illegal content spread.
It seems that Luisiana May become the next US state that would require clearance regarding rules for crypto businesses and BitLicenses.
Until now, New York was the most active state concerning the regulatory framework for digital assets as 18 BitLicenses were adopted there in 2015.
